Heber-Jay (NT/QLD)
(PBS) Practitioner

Heber-Jay has over five years of experience working across the child protection and disability sectors, beginning his career in Alice Springs before relocating to Queensland to study psychology. His work as a residential care worker has strengthened his ability to build meaningful relationships, support daily living needs, and respond effectively to behaviours of concern. Alongside his practical experience, his psychology studies provide him with a deeper theoretical understanding that informs his practice. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, further reinforcing his knowledge and expertise in the field.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Heber-Jay brings first-hand experience in implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and applying proactive strategies to improve quality of life. He has a strong focus on supporting First Nations participants, particularly those with challenges around emotional regulation and trauma histories. Guided by a person-centred and trauma-informed approach, his primary goal is to promote independence and enhance the overall well-being of the people he supports.
