Individual Response & Intervention Strategy
Championing human rights is at the heart of all of our work. We enable, support and empower people to live the life they choose.
We champion rights
We measure our success by the positive impact we have on people’s lives. By sharing skills and knowledge, tackling difficult issues and building effective and trusting relationships.
We build positive impact together
We work to understand people’s needs and priorities to get the best outcomes for them. We work across systems to bring about lasting change.
We find and enable solutions
Our approach is underpinned by a rigorous evidence base and expertise. We use our long-standing experience to translate policy into practice.
We balance evidence, expertise and experience
Our Values
Our values guide us in everything we do. They are the foundation for the relationships we build with our staff, our communities, and our partners.
How do we make a difference?
We are making a difference to the lives of our participants with impaired cognitive ability who may display behavioural challenges, by:
Providing Information
We provide practical information for families, carers and professionals about understanding and supporting participants
Providing support
Our Behaviour Support Practitioners can offer individual support and information in person, over the phone or by email.
Running training workshops
We offer a range of training workshops to carers, families and professionals. Our workshops have been found to reduce challenging behaviour and have positive outcomes for carers, families and professionals who attend.
